So I "Salvaged" this total junker of a Panasonic bike, i figured I could take it to my garage and just in case the parts were good for some project or another I would have them. Well, I'm building up my son's first "road bike"(a salvaged Browning) and need a rear brake and decided to pull the dia comp off the panasonic.
so here's the question,
the brake on the panasonic was mounted INSIDE the rear triangle. I'm not sure why a brake would be mounted that way, and if I should mount it the same way on my Browning. or if the dude who I got this panasonic from just put his bike together wrong.
How can i tell what direction a brake should be mounted?
