We have a fixed sprint series in Stockholm, we try to arrange a race every month. Entrance is $3 and the winner takes it all. This time we included two 180 degrees corners in the race, to have some more action. In the final the four fastest rides raced for the $60 cach price.

Yup, those turns were a great idea! Some didn't make it and thundered straight forward away from the course which made it very amusing to watch. It was hard deciding how fast you could approach the turn = how good you were at stopping. Those with a front brake did have an advantage there.

A great evening and a great team making it happen!

Our great guy Ruben Boman made this little piece of film from the Sprints:

That's cool, great vid.

What are the laws on having no brakes and how are the cops on it?

Cops are not aware of brakeless bikes yet I think. I dont think they they spot their own TREK in i buch of track bikes. The cops were totaly cool with our race, no questions asked, they enjoyed watching.

The Swedish law say about bikes that they should be able to ****** the bike with 3m/s2 with 490N applied with you feets.

Toe overlap and pedal position could have been a big issue too. Brakes or not, if you cant skid or arent used to turning tight and know where to have your feet you would end up on your head. That looks like a ton of fun though and those are some great pics. Too bad its only playing the first 30 seconds of the vid on youtube. :(

ps: it goes from clean pavement to dirty pavement at the end. haha, death skids FTW.
