Hello urban street racing community. I just made a video about an nyc alleycat called: bridgebattle 2 and its up on the Messnyc.net site. It was mad fun to make and thanks to all who contributed. I've been making alleycat/messenger event videos for a while since I started with the Warriors race back in 2002. I am currently looking for video footage of this years events...mainly Monster track 6. I want to put together other submissions for the Mess site, combining footage. I am totally down to trade footage and movies I've made and I can provide materials (Dvd's or minidv tapes) for dubbing. get in touch with me at: criticalmassbiker@mac.com

and check out my blog and website

you are so lazy. registration is free, and only requires your name and email address. We DO NOT sell your information to anyone, so "man up" and take ten freekin seconds to register. In the event that someone does post their login up, then we have to go and change the protocol, and nobody wants that. By registering, you are allowing us to see how many people are watching the videos, which will get advertisers, which in turn allows us to get more cameras and make more videos. Now does it make sense?

you have to register to post on bikeForums, so what's the big deal?

Thanks to Mike and all the filmers for doing this. And thanks for registering and watching. Look for more videos (West Side Invite, Mayhem) coming soon...

You must be a noob, or you must think i'm a noob. You know you can see how many people are watching the videos without requiring people to sign up. This is web 101 seriously. You say you aren't going to use the email addresses, but that's on your word and this is the internet.

So either admit you use ******** practices to gain peoples email address or stop forcing people to register. Obviously you've never been to /. or digg where these practices are accepted netiquette.

blah. support it or don't.

I got about 400 gmail invites I could float your way, if you are that hard up for a email address.

real quick...

One of the many reasons we ask you to register (with a REAL email address) is that when the eventual print/DVD issue of MESS comes out, ONLY verified registered users will receive copies, and they will receive them for free. When we begin hosting prize giveaways and raffles, ONLY verified registered users will be eligible. No one is holding a gun to anybody's head. We just want some support. We're trying to be as un-intrusive as possible, and I think we're doing a fine job at that.

Over 150 people since Mike's video has launched on Tuesday haven't seemed to have any problems with registering.. Thanks to them!!! if you have a problem with it, oh well. You miss out.

150 people registered, you have no idea how many of those people were annoyed by registeration. If you want to keep an eye on how many poeple are visiting your site, watch your analytics and traffic reports. Registration for give-aways and raffles is totally different, but when I was registering it didn't say anything about that. I shouldn't have to register just to watch the video. But then again, its your site so do whatever you want, just keep in mind that most people hate registration.
