Admittedly, I haven't googled the hell out of this yet, but does anyone know offhand of any place, on or offline (I'm in NYC) that I can purchase a replacement dustcap for a Sugino 75 crank??

Thanks.

Ok, dog. Easy there. I know you like it raw. Seriously, if you want to give me all your ex-caps, I'll gladly take them. I'll paypal a couple ducats your way.

Yup. It's AWESOME when Juvi-Kyle's internet persona "rags" on someone. It's SOOOO COOOOOL. In fact, I'm having difficulty typing because I can't stop laughing. I <3 him too.

For the record, dustcaps have both positive and negatives. The positive for me is that if my crank comes loose and suddenly comes off (which it has in the past) it can help keep me from loosing the bolt.

I am guessing you mean these:

Which can be bought on-line at Lickton Bikes (http://www.lickbike.com/productpage.aspx?PART_NUM_SUB='0248-00').

Or at most bike shops in the city, Conrad's definitely, Bikeworks probably...

I think I have some lying around...I'll check my apartment tonight when I get home...

These are dustcaps. Not Sugino, but I think this is what you mean.

Yeah, but they come with built-in dustcaps. no need for a separate screw-in dust cap. And these are the bolts/dustcaps that come with Sugino 75s.

word. I want what's in the pic that Jose R. threw up. The 8mm crank bolts. $4.50 for a set of crankbolts/caps isn't bad at all. I guess I didn't realize that they were "built-in". Thanks guys.

I see the last post was 2006. But I didn't see the offering that is the current, which is the black alloy dust cap, Sugino white lettering, with a 5mm allen key hole and the threads on the outer circumference. Are there even threads on the crank arms that support such a screw in dust cap? Are the dust caps compatible with the 8mm standard crank arm bolts as displayed by Jose R 'cause those are what I have and there doesn't seem to be room for any cap to fit flush with the crank arms?!

No. You need to get 15mm hex cap screws and washers. The dust caps screw into the crankarm puller threads.
