A bike this sexy should be illigal.

I see it, due to the angle the cranks are at, and the write writing on the chainring plus the white frame, it looks as if the chainring is elliptical. Wow, those are some wide bars, I haven't seen non pista bars on here in a long time, and I don't really mind those, nice bike.

it may be the angle and it may be my eyes playing tricks but it looks almost like a rounded pentagon.

oh yeah—nice bike. should get white tires for the full negative effect
Very awesome looking, you'll enjoy the crap out it and be very glad you got an IRO, if my experience is any indication. Maybe someday my Mark V will have a Jamie Roy buddy. Hey you have about the same wheelset as me! Would be cool to have all the rest of the same black components as well.
I think the shape of the inside cut-out type parts of that chainring play tricks on your eyes or something.
Enjoy!

I like the all black wheelset. I'd go with some white grips.
as far as tinfoil hats go... dude, those paranoid mutha****as got it all wrong!!! They WANT YOU TO WEAR THEM! http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/

I'd stick with black bartape and wear white gloves and a black ninja outfit.
Enjoy

Remove the IRO decal and replace it with FRIGIDAIRE.
Enjoy
People would be totally stoked that frigidair started making bikes.
I like, and if you go w/ white tires check these out

That's MUCH better.
Now dangle a three prong plug from underneath the seat and you've got something to talk about.
Enjoy

Bah. I hope it turns your calves to hamburger. ;)
very very nice indeed. i'm glad to see that tony replaced the RPM's with black IRO's. i still remember taking a day off from work just to be there for UPS and to have time to assemble my mark v and ride it around. i also remember seriously getting a jamie roy - what got me was that the 7005 alu frameset weighs barely less than a mark v.
i would love to see tony come up with an aluminum counterpart to the angus, imagine this:
1) true track geometry
2) better quality tubing
3) ~3.5lbs
4) titanium white
i would buy one of those in a heartbeat

nice! thanks for the link. the circle a is getting a set of white tires.
I am SO interested in this bike, in pretty much the exact same build. I'm hoping you could answer a thing or two.
1) I was looking at a Mark V instead, because 'steel is real'. Have you ridden a steel bike recently enough to say if this is a significantly rougher ride?
2) Any reason for opting out of the 'carbon fork' option other than aesthetics?
Thanks.
1) Ive ridden steel bikes and i dont really notice the difference, but i didnt ride it for too long. The only reason i got the JR was because i liked the frame shape over the mark V. I nearly got an all black mark V but im happy i got the jamie roy. I like the white on black scheme. As for the fork. I dont really know what the benifits are of a CF fork.
Ive been riding around all day and i must say this thing is beautiful.

Lightest material to work with for the strength/stiffness. Supposedly much softer and nicer ride... dampens vibration really well while remaining stiff.
It's very, very strong for the weight, but when it fails, it does so in a bad way. Better for racing, not as good as an urban beater.

Nice looking ride. My buddy is building up an SS IRO mtb with the exact opposite color scheme.
