Geez Chris...why didn't you just PM me? :) Of course I'm surprised that I actually tried it before you did.
IMO, it's not bad but I didn't like the goggles themselves. It probably has more to do with my contacts than anything. If I really need to hear music while I swim, I suppose I'll just buy an endless pool and put some underwater speakers in it.
I wonder how long it will take H2OChick to make fun of me this time :)

Almost 24 hours... Why am I not surprised that you had the answers to this one? ;)
Chris, my good friend uses them, and while she says she feels like a dork (because she looks like one with them on) she does enjoy having the music and it helps her stay amused during her workout. If you can overcome the appearance and fit issues, it seems like the technology actually works very well.

I've got the original design. It's OK, but definitely not hi-fi in any way. I'd avoid using it to listen to the spoken word, but it does well with music that has a strong beat.

I have one of the second generation models and like it quite a bit. The sound quality while your head is submerged in the water is quite good. I also would not recomend it for spoken word, like podcasts, because when your head is out of the water, like resting at the wall or open turns, you can't hear it very well. When you listen to music missing a few seconds here or there will not ruin the experience, but when listening to spoken word you want to hear the whole thing and missing even small parts can be annoying.
Still, I think the SwimP3 has the best sound quality of the available options because all other systems are based on earphones and they tend to get muffled if you get water in your ears. And you will get water in your ears.

I used something similar to this and the water pressure would push it around when pushing off of the wall. However, I'm a fast, experienced swimmer.
