Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - coaster brake hub to fixed gear

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
question for anyone out there with some info,
we're sitting in the bike shop and customer wants to fix his coaster brake hub into a fixed gear. is there any way to do this? looking for a cheap and affordable way and its not for riding but for a seperate cause - any info would be great, thanks.

I don't think it can be done, except for welding the cog to the hub. I was thinking of doing the same and took apart the coaster brake and then gave up.
yea we got it, a little grinding on the brake and some JB weld did it the justice we needed.
its for this guys grandson i believe, he has cerebral paulsy and they want a fixie bike so they can push him on it and get him some exercise. w00t, fixie FTW
hopefully it works after the whole JB weld process.

It should work. I JB Welded my BB on my fixie conversion after I had stripped it. It still hasn't budged! :)
Good on you helping out! That's 10 karma points in your karma account!
