I am doing an oly in one month and the weather hasn't been that warm so I'm thinking about getting a short wetsuit. I tried on a friend's men's medium and it seemed like it fit but was very tight. Does it loosen up in the water? It felt restrictive. I'm 5'7", 149lbs. I don't consider myself fat, but I'm not a hard body. Is this the right size or should I be considering a large? Thanks, Bill

My Desoto T1 is (according to Emilio Desoto) designed to be more comfortable while swimming than on dry land, and so while it's quite snug when dry, it loosens up and is quite comfortable in the water. If you can, try one out in the water before making any decisions.

I have the Blue Seventy Reaction and wear a medium...I'm 5-6, 165lbs. Different suits fit differently...most have a sizing chart to help you determine which size to wear. I ended up calling about 5 different companies directly to ask them about the fits of their suits before I decided. I swam about 1/2 mile open water on Saturday and it was great. This was my first time in the water with it.
