BMX - Sprocket Gaurd

I was wondering how sproket gaurds were attached. Because I'm thinking of getting one Anyone know?

it has a little plastic mounting bracket that mounts to the frame near the front chain sprocket, then a screw attatchs it to the frame near the rear hub

You have to have the right type of sprocket, then it will just bolt into the holes provided.

i like the Sprocket Guard,Built In Sprocket Guard that Macneil has.

ive got the macneil sprocket without the guard, its great and the only reason i didnt buy the one with the guard is because of the price

A friend of mine has the Mosh Spocket gaurd, its nice, but its not working to well with his Shadow chain...

This is the Macneil one, the teeth of the sprocket are behind, and so your chain doesnt really get grinded...

No I mean regular gaurds like the animal bash gaurd or the metal gaurd

Get a Shadow sprocket/and gaurd.

They are pretty nice.

It drops down low enough so that if you hit it, it will prevent your chain from being hit. Think about it: if it hung over the chain, it would hit the chain as it revolved.

I bought the Animal V2 Bash Guard and I put it on my bike. the thing is 1/4 inch thick and hangs over the chain on the side.
