Bicycle Mechanics - Why does my bike go left??

I bought a touring bike with disc brakes. Whenever I let go to ride no-handed, it just leans and goes to the left. The discs are on the left side. Do all bikes with discs do that? Also, this bike has replacable dropouts on the back, held in with to bolts each side. I thought maybe they are not even, could that be the cause? Should I just take it to the lbs? (I bought on eBay)I have never ridden a bike where I could not ride no-handed for even a short distance until I got this one. Thanks for any help.

I think your bike has liberal political tendencies.......:D Sorry, couldn't help it. Seriously, something's out of alignment. As you say, it could be something to do with the rear dropouts, it could be your front wheel's not all the way into the dropouts on one side, or that the fork's slightly bent out of alignment. Or the frame's out of alignment. If it's as noticeable as you say, it should be something the bike shop can easily pinpoint. Good luck with it- :)

This was the first thought I had, as well. I'm a firm believer in Occam's Razor. More often than not, the simplest solution is the correct one. Try just removing your wheels and then reseating them in the dropouts. That might fix you right up (or, straight ahead, as the case may be). Good luck!

The disk brakes are not causing your problem.

See if the rear wheel rim is equal distance from both chain stays and both seat stays. It should be.
