Is there anything different I should be looking for in aero bars for a tandem. We will be doing a 50 mile time trial in August and I want to get something now so I can get comfortable with it. I know on my reg ular bike it's a bit different when using aero bars, and I imagine it will be magnified on a tandem. Any info would be much appreciated!

It's pretty much the same: find a design that you're comfortable with. However, as you surmised, a steady stoker is essential and it may take more time to get comfortable with using them than it did on your personal bike.
