The Number Twelve Looks Like You and Fear Before the March of Flames. I can see someone dissing Fear Before, but if someone calls Number Twelve emo they don't know much about music classification... I love chaotic music!!!

If you think the Number 12 is complicated, listen to Lightning Bolt. And Daughters if you aren't familiar.

Heavy Metal is one of those rare music genres that started out at its peak (With Black Sabbath and Tommy Iommi's perfect metal guitar tone) and seems to have disintegrated.

Stuff I listen to now sounds like a wall of mush.

Get that Dream Theater crap out of here...Listen to some Rhapsody, or Dragonforce, or classic Malmsteen.

Man, that makes absolutely no sense to me. I understand there's no accounting for taste....but to say DT is crap and then mention those other three bands/musicians? Esp. Rhapsody....they play ostensibly the same kind of music as Dream Theater. And IMHO are not even close to being as talented and accomplished musically. Dream Theater has Berkley and Juliard graduates....Mike Portnoy has won so many drumming awards I can't even comprehend. Jordan Rudess is simply the most astonishing keyboardist in his genre (or otherwise for that matter). John Petrucci has more technique in his worst songs than Yngwie has ever had on his best (and I like Malmsteen...no argument on his other abilities and contributions to neo-classical). And John Myung lays down some incredibly complex bass lines that most bassists could not replicate. They are the quintessential musician's band and an absolute force in the progressive rock/metal arena. Calling them crap may be your right and opinion, but in my mind is unbelievably unwarranted (or else I wouldn't be taking this much time to express my dissent).

skrewdriver? That crap ain't heavy. Besides the fact that skrewdriver is for nazi pieces of ****, they sound like a rock n' roll band, more the who, and less black sabbath. NOT heavy.
