Hi,
I just picked up a blackburn trainer from Craigslist, it worked well on my old MTB (with slicks) which has bolt-on hubs.

But it won't hold my road bike with quick release hub, well at least not the release side. I've searched online for somekind of replacement part for the "pinchers" but couldn't find it and there is no support on the blackburn website.

Anyone here know where can I find the manual for the trainer (Blackburn RX-1)? Or some way to make it work with QR hubs?

Thanks
Thomas

the units are supposed to come with it's own quick release skewer. mine kind of works so i didn't need to swap it. but since yours obviously isn't holding you should call blackburn and see if you can get that. either that or the guy that sold it to you might have forgotten about it (or lost it).

Chances are you probably have an external cam type of quick release. Go to your LBS and get an older style internal cam type.

If you have this kind of a skewer..... (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=18842#) the handle doesn't fit properly into the retaining device on the trainer.

You need this kind of skewer.....http://www.1upusa.com/rearquickrelease.htm
