BMX - GUnna get started.. i need YOUR help

heeey, so i'm new in this forum. and i reeeeally like BMX... for a long time, i've have been very addicted to this sport, and i watch BMX tapes, learn BMX tricks, keep track of whats going on in the bmx world, and just learn everything i could about BMX.. and blah blah blah. who cares right??? hahaha WELL i have my own bike now AND I'M alllll alone on this, hopefully i'll meet some people who ride around here.. but anyway, how should i start? oh and i wanna ride street... and maybe some day vert, yeaaaah. help please.thx.

Ok, first and for most...what do you ride?? That can influence your type of riding you are gonna start or do.
Second, Knowledge is power buddy. Use as much as you can to help you start riding.
Third, Trail & Street, i think, are the most fun to ride depending on your location and where you live. try to make trails out of the way of traffic and away from peoples property. If you do decide to make trails near someones property, ask permission!! How would you feel if you saw boy annoynumous kid digging up your backyard?? And try not to make so much disturbance. Also if your going to ride street, your probably gonna find places, most likely public places. If you are a new rider to your town, the cops probably wont bother or they might be up your ass alot. So try to ride when stores are closed or a non populated area. You will eventually have other riders joining you, but beware of pigz.

there has got to be more kids on bikes in that state than anywhere else. just call up the bike stores and ask where the bmx kids hang out.

there are a TON of people that ride there, just got to look around to find them.

a little work will get you a long ways.

Where in CA are you? I know of a dozen or so tracks and a lot of street and dj'ers.

If your high school age, check your school. Our HS has a club for bmx and skateboard. Everyday after school with ramps, platforms and bars, all kinds of stuff.
