Yeah, I figured it was you.
I was the guy with the VX1000 sitting down in front of you when Chad was trying to 180 that double at the Gearhead Earth Day Jam.

I'm sure myspace loves it when people use their site for things that should have their own site. I mean with all the advertising revenue and free publicity you give them, and who cares if the visitors have to waste bandwidth loading the cluttered pages.

How exactly is that wasting bandwidth? The whole point (aside from the obvious revenue from marketing/advertising by paying companies - which more than pays for the website, which is owned by an advertising company anyway) of MySpace is the sort of thing that he's using it for.

When someone has to load all the animated ads and pictures of people who are in the 'top 8' friends and who made comments at the bottom, that's wasting bandwidth in my book.
Maybe I'm old fashioned, but if I was going to release a video, I'd make it a simple web page with some information about it, a download link for the trailer, and some still photos/frame captures in a little gallery. No need to have ~300kb of ads and another ~300kb of pictures of people at the bottom.
'Simple' and 'Download link' being the key words there. Not to promote piracy, to let people save it for watching again.

Yeah, because spending money buying a domain and paying for hosting is far more convenient than doing it for free on MySpace.
You must still have 56k if you're actually complaining about 600kb of files loading slow; that takes maybe a second, max, on my PC.

Exactly.
And also, i saw that your site is in the new Ride BMX, thats pretty cool, congrats?
Haha.

Huh?
edit: Speaking of SJBMX, I should have a Memorial Day Weekend video up later tonight; I was maybe only 1/4 done editing it last night when I went to sleep at 1AM, but I'm guessing that it's going to clock in at around six or seven minutes.

There are plenty of free hosting providers that are a lot less cluttered than myspace, though. And I do have 56k, it's all we can get here.
They didn't tell you they were going to put the link to your site in RideBMX? There's a full page article about the San Jose scene in the newest issue and they link to your site at the end. I'm guessing that means you weren't in the picture of all the riders then, either.. that sucks

What issue would that be in? I was thumbing through the July issue when I was at the record store last night, and I didn't see it.
And, if you're referring to some sort of large group shot, the photog must have been at the Stonegate Jam.

It's in the August one on page 36. I have no idea why the new issue is called August when they sent it out in May.

It has to do with the fact that Ride US has been a month ahead of time since long before I starting reading, and partially because (and this is just an assumption, but it makes sense - I suppose I could ask Fudger about it, though) there is a lot more riding done in the dry season than there is in the winter months.
Could you scan the article and PM or email it to me?

Its the August '06 issue, its got Cory Nastazio on the cover with a tailwhipsuperman? and is has the "Quick Look: San Jose California"
And at the end it says "On the web scope check out Sjbmx.com for all the leatest on the riders and scene."

There is a gian pick with lots of people, but i dont see anyone from your websites picks in it, but its at a concrete park...

Yeah, Madman scanned it for me. There's a ton of people in that shot from my site, though; it's not even Where's Waldo? status.

yeah, i thought about making a site for the video. but i opted for myspace. myspace is dope because i can see how many people have viewed the video, i can recieve emails, etc outside of my personal email. i can also add people and use bulletins to keep people updated. what i particularly liked is that i can send out an invitation to everyone on the buddy's list for the premier. it is a myspace film makers account, i was not using it for something that it wasnt intended to be used for. its also free. speaking of premiere, there will be one at ramp rats indoor around mid december, there will be a large raffle with some free ****. i will likely get redbull there, raffle out some solid stuff, and probably some etnies ****, maybe a fit series 3 will be raffled aswell.
dude, i remember you. that jam was alright. chad will stick a big 180 over a double. we just have to find some dialed trails. (we are too lazy to make them ourselves) how is san jose for street? my brother says there are tons of dope skatespots there. i am filming kurtis elwell for the new etnies video and there is a possibility we will be heading out there.

Do you want me to post up a link to the promo on my site?
Anyway, though, there's some pretty good street down here, depending on what you're looking for. There's not much in the way of hubbas, but there's plenty of rails, gaps, wallrides, etc, etc.
