I bought a Peugeot PH-10L 57 cm. for $50. Pretty happy about it, fits me and everything. Used to do long-distance touring with a group of friends, annual 700-mile trips, bike marathon on Belle Isle in Detroit, etc., in the mid-late 70's early 80's. Been out of it since then...this may get me back into it!

Need help identifying the crankset in the picture. Sorry the dustcap pics are kind of fuzzy...they are the only clue. They say "S" and "France" on them...of course I would assume Stronglight, but I cannot corroborate the model number with anything I can find on the 'net.

Thanks!

if not stronglite, they look a lot like a nervar set I used to have, but attached to a UO-8 before selling it...

the nervar was painted on in black, and could easily have been removed.

In fact the bike I took the cranks from was a very similar vintage to yours and had the same stem and tube set.

I believe they are Stronglights. BCD (bolt circle diameter) should be 122mm. Measure from the center of one bolt to the center of an adjacent one; should be 71.7mm or thereabouts. This doesn't completely eliminate Nervar (or for that matter edco) as they used the same BCD. Nervar used 128 BCD on the star, one of their better models, though. However, the dust cap is a Stronglight and Stronglight made most of the stock cotterless cranksets for Peugeot, so that's my geuss.

Thanks for the replies. Center-to-center was right around 71.7. So must be Stronglight. But cannot discern the model number. I think the arm design, beveled with no engraving or dugout of any kind, is intriguing. I cannot find any images (of older/vintage cranks) on the internet that match that arm, except a Nervar track crank and an unidentified Stronglight arm. But the chainrings are even more intriguging - I cannot find any chainring pictures anywhere that have the little circle inside the triangle - is that a chainguard bolt hole? See this pic:

Those are Stronglight chainrings or a very good copy. The crankset appears to be a Stronglight Aero 101.

122mm --> Stronglight

Thanks again for the suggestions. So the only model number I have so far is Stronglight Aero 101. I also noticed that they made a 103, 105, & 107. Does anyone have any pics of the Stronglight Aero (or another crank and/or chainrings that look like mine)? (I know Stronglight currently makes a very modern looking crank with a wind-guard of some sort...that's not it...I think they made a series - the 101, 103, 105 & 107) back in the 90's??? Thanks

It has been suggested to me that the crankset was an AERO CORONADO, apparently made by a German company - but I have not been able to find any (other) pics. Anyone?

S could stand for SOLIDA, if it's not Stronglight. I have an early '80's UO-9 with a Solida crankset, though they look quite different to the ones in yr. pics...
