It was raining real bad all night and all morning so I geared up with my rain suit and I decided to try something different...
I grabbed 2 plastic grocery bags and wrapped them around my road shoes and used a rubber band to hold them up.. then I tied the ends in a knot and slipped the knot under the rubber band...
I rode 5 miles to work in the rain and when I got here my feet were perfectly dry !
- note: after the first mile, the drive-side shoe-bag got snagged on the chainring and it ripped a little bit but it still did not allow water to get in so I managed to keep my socks perfectly dry ! ) ... I think I'll use an extra rubberband or 2 on the drive side to make sure the bag doesnt snag on the chainring again..
WOOT !!!!!!! =)
Here is a shot of the getup just before I left...
