Classic & Vintage - 73' Paramount P13 on ebay not selling

just over 6 hours to go on this auction and no one has bid... starting bid is 1500 which seems reasonable... what do you think will happen? auction: 7244807478

I don't think that one will be going to Japan.

It's not pristine and it is a repaint so I guess that would be a reason for less interest. It is my size and very tempting but there is no way I can justify it. Although I don't know why it would need to be repainted if it has the original tires on it, couldn't have been that scratched up.

The decals aren't correct for '73 which makes me wonder if Waterford really did the refinishing. Too many questions.

Way, way too much money. The other high dollar bikes went because they were very clean and the starting bids were very low. The ebay mentallity is to start low and bid it up. This bike is starting at the max price. Maybe he's seen all the other big prices and thinks his bike is worth more. Good luck

I'm just shy of 6'4", every single bike I own is 63cm c-t or a 62cm c-c, I have about 5 inches of seatpost showing on all my bikes and run 110-130mm stems.

I'm a measly 6' 2" or thereabouts and ride a 61-3cm frame, though I can ride down to about 58. My first bike was a 62, and I had to fully extend the stock seatpost to fit on the bike. I have looong legs, and ride the same size (or even larger) than taller friends... because my inseam is prodigious (along with my good looks, intelligence, and other things I can't mention on a family board).

E-Bay is a funny place. The reputation of the seller means a lot. A guy who has sold fifty bikes will get higher bids than a guy selling a bike for the first time. And, a high minimum bid can kill an auction.

But, you never know who the serious bidders are until the last two minutes of the auction. A bike can jump from $1,500 to $3,000 during those two minutes.
