I have a Klein Pulse II MTB from 1998. It has a Shimano LX crankset on it that the retaining ring is striped on the drive side. the bottom bracket uses the square (ISIS?) type BB/Axle. Apparently the newer crankset use Octalink and the ones that are currently available new with the ISIS/square BB axle have slightly different spacing. So.....

Does anyone have a decent used or old (new in the box) LX or XT complete crankset for sale? If so, PM me. I really can't believe that I might have to scrap a beautiful MTB like this over a crankset.

Square drive xt and lx cranksets shouldn't be hard to find. I've bought a couple of xt 5 arm cranksets on eBay in the last few months. They were both new, in the box.

ISIS and square drive are not the same thing.

Send that Kline to me before you scrap it. I'll even pay shipping. :D

O.K. Thanks for the clarification on the ISIS thing. If I were more sure of what I needed I'd buy it off ebay no problem. I love the Klein! I just need a crankset for it ASAP. LOL

I bought a nice used xt one off ebay the other day. Thanks for all the input.
