Hey guys. I've got a quick ? for ya...
How poorly do 24x3.0" Gazzaladi tires roll on pavement (for urban)...
and how do they handle on ROCKY trails w/ lots of roots?
Do they feel like you're peddling through MUD the whole time?
I know that they only accept 29 PSI .. so I was wondering..
I'm thinking about upgrading from my 2.5" on the back of my BigHit Comp.
Please lemmie know your opinions.. I'd really like to know.
thanks!

Why do you want the 3.0?
I run the 24x2.5 out back and it handles every thing well.
Also, for urban I prefer to run narrower tires then fatties. The wide tires work better, at least for me, on dh/fr runs because you can run lower tire pressure. For urban I like a higher psi and not much of a nobby tire.

to try something new......
I've never had one before... and I figure if I keep my 2.5" "on tap" that I can switch between the 2 when I want to.
I just finished putting a new set of 2.5 White Tiger's on the Bullit, All the parts are in now, and I should be able to post later this weekend but they look sweet. Much beefier than I expected, and I'm not sure if I could even fit 3.0's on the zoc after seeing these on it...

One thing to consider is that if you're mismatching tires, you want the fatter/more grip tire up front.
I'm not sure if it holds true with the type of riding you do, but it's better to have your rear wheel wash out than your front wheel.

Exactly, I've tried it both ways. It apllies to MX, and to mountain bikes. Keep traction on the front wheel at all costs.

Its all about look. And those 3" and 24 look AWESOME on that bike. Will it ride funny. You bet especially considering most people ride them at low pressures for more traction. That tire isn't meant for speed, its meant for pure unadulterated fun on technical trails :)...
Enjoy.

A'Men brotha!
I'm gunna give one a try if I can find someone to trade my hub with.. :D
Here's a clearance pic of Tioga White Tiger 2.50's on my Super T. These are big beefy tires, I don't think I could get much bigger on there. On the back it fits well but rubs the chain just a tad in granny. I'm glad I didn't spring for those Michelin 2.8's, not sure if they would have fit.
And before one of you asks, yes, I will have all those tits rubbed off the tires by the end of the weekend :)

Rock on dude
That's the same arch that I have on my DJ2 .. so it's all gravy
Would anyone want to trade a 24x3.0 Gazzi for my Primo Bomb Freecoaster hub? (pictures in the buy/sell/trade forum)...
