Because I would save A LOT of money. I have an Epson R210 which takes 6 colours, each cartridge is about $17AUD. Now i can get incredible savings off eBay for compatible ink, but it is not genuine. (Works out to be no more then $4 per cartridge).

Has anyone ever bought ink off eBay before? Does anyone not recommened buying un-genuine ink?

Here's an example:

Thanks!

Also if i didn't use Genuine Epson Cartridges could there be a possibiliy of degrading the life of my printer, or some stuff may malfunction incorrectly?

If by life, you mean colour reproduction and/or crappy quality ink, then yes. Otherwise no. You should just get the refills instead (if they support your cartridges).

I've used refills on my old bubble jet and there'd always be some hassle. Either refilling them or when printing and the ink flow suddenly stops.

I only use the non genuine cartridges that I buy off ebay. They don't last as long as the genuine Canon cartridges but the genuine ones are $39 and the non genuine ones I buy off Ebay are 10 for $18. They run out quicker but I haven't had any other problems with them.

Buy refill kits and save even more!

Lasers rock, $39 for a reconditioned cartridge and it lasts six months :D

I have used the generic ones from www.carrotink.com and they are really great. They may not make one for your model though.

It doesn't hurt the printer. i just refilled a cartridge this mnorning on a laserjet and it works fine. The laserjets meed the whole cartridge replaced after two refills, but some people go longer. I'm not sure how many times you can refill an old injet cartridge.

I have orderd a set of Epson R210 Cartirdges off eBay and they have been delivered. They worked out to be about $4 each. Total payed $28AUD delivered to my door. Save just under $100 off genuine cartridges!

I just installed them into the printer then, i installed 2, cyan and light cyan, the printer did not reconside light cyan, so i re-installed it and it was ok.

They are working and printing. I will do a few high quality run off and let you know how the quality is. Ink was Made in USA.

Thanks Stacey!

I did my first high quality photo print, on premium quality setting and preimum paper. Thumbsup! Perfect quality!

The real test will be to see how long 18ml cartridge of ink will last for!

*VERDICT*

Summary - Non-Genuine ink cartridges still provide the same excellent quality as genuine ones do! However, the ink decipitates faster then normal at an approximate rate of 1/3rd.

Pro's-
- Cheap! For me it worked out 80% cheaper then buying genuine cartridges!
- Still great quality...cannot tell the difference between original ink.

Con's-
- You will find the ink runs out noticibly quicker
- The printer may have trouble reconizing or installing the cartridge. A few installation re-attemps may be nessesary.
- Printers company's do not recommened non - genuine ink for unkown reasons.

Conclusion:
I will never buy genuine ink again! When i can save so much buying this, even if it runs out quicker...its still miiiiiles cheaper with the same quality! So stack up and enjoy :)

THIS (http://stores.ebay.com.au/Ink-Stationp) is the person who i bought my ink off on eBay!

wow..bubble, ink...yowsers...been a while since I heard those terms. They have become utterly so cheap price wise they are almost replaceable parts to themselves.

For ink, have you ever considered your own refill kit. Same life span as your aftermarket but REALLY cheap to refill

I will now...however i need to buy 6-refill's individually at once, unlike these cartridges that i just buy when i need.

If the saving is over 80% then i'm all for them :)!
