I'm trying to indentify a bike that I had when I was growing up. It was a road bike. I believe it was a 10 speed. Maybe more. A unique feature of the bike was that it had 2 top tubes that were side by side. Is there a name for that type of frame? Any idea who made bikes like that? The bike was made either in the 70s or early 80s.

A popular frame style was called a "mixte", with two smaller-diameter tubes running directly from the steer tube down to the rear dropout.
An attempt to provide the clearance of a "ladies" bike while maintaining lighter weight and good frame strength.

There was a Peugot woman's frame I purchased for my wife in 1967 that was like that.

I remember a picture that was posted on this forum in the last year of a vintage men's roadbike with two top tubes. I think it may have been a German frame, but I could be wrong about that.
