M2 Racer - Orb pedals.

The look pretty interesting. I am curious as to how they work.

Sweet for the "weight weenie" set @ 100g for the pair.

Check out the "Light Bike" (http://www.m2racer.com/info.php)

Hmmm....

No advertising but I will let this post stay unless I start getting complaints.

These pedals are nothing new. I seen the same basic design years back.

Do beware when they go out of business and cleats become impossible to find. So word of advise. Buy a few extra cleats for the future.

When I was a kid, I had a red bike with some white rubber pedals. The rubber parts fell off and I used to ride around on the bare spindles. They looked a lot like those. They didn't have any cleats though, so I guess they don't count. I missed the rubber parts. I think I'd miss the platform if I rode on those pedals.

I highly doubt chip is advertising... he is merely asking if anyone has used these pedals...

my question is if you look the entire pedal is round (the spindal and all) so how do you get it tight on the crank arm? there isn't a good place to put a wrench, or is there a special wrench?

they do look interesting :)

I would bet that you tighten them down with a hex wrench from behind. That's how Time ATACs wrench to a crank.

Its based on a ball. Imagine the ball cut in half and spring loaded to push outwards. That is the spindle.

The cleat is basically a hole that the "ball" pushes into. The black circle is a rubber walking surface.
Simple design.

I like that 10.3 pound bike. My favorite touch is the cut-off dura-ace shifters. :D

Isn't the UCI limit 15.5 pounds? when does that apply?
