Thanks Klein and crew. I finally got the adaptor as mentioned for the XT Disc brake. However shimano UK stripped me as she charges 50$ for the part. anyway at least i ll get my front brake again!

You got the adapter I mentioned? I dont know but it didnt really look like the right one. You sure its gunna work?

Yes i got the adapter. Its not the one you posted. Its a special shimano adapter for manitou post with 170mm rotor use.
The picture i showed you had the caliper unbolter and offset thats why you saw a huge gap. The difference with the old adaptor was 5mm ...meaning that only half the rotor was inside the pads area.
