To shave or not to shave … that’s the question

I’m doing my 1st IM in a few weeks (IMCDA) and I am contemplating shaving my legs. Is there any advantage to this or is it just a triathlon thing? Does the leg hair come in thick if I decide not to continue to shave it. How soon before the event should it be shaved, surly not the night before. Does the wetsuit stick more to the bare leggs.

Any insight?

Pretty much, its what we tri guys do. Most guys who call me gay or whatever over this, are usualy fat themselves. Most guys are cool with it, and girls think it fun to rub my legs....:D

Honestly, I do it cus I like it. The benifits from it are just icing. Hydrodynamics, imporoved healing, looks better, feels better, keeps legs cooler.

This is the guy that won Escape from Alcatraz last weekend. Look at the lovely, shaved legs on him. Talk about eye candy...

Shave. Chicks dig it (observe, here, chicks who dig it!). Guys say it's gay but only because they're jealous of the chicks who dig it.

On a less shallow note, it makes applying magic marker race numbers easier ;)
