Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey Ya'll-
We recently had a commuter meet in Albuquerque, and I'm just trying to keep the momentum and get another one planned. Two of the three of us that met can't meet in June, so we're shooting for Early July.
The first full week in July has a holiday in it, so I think we should shoot for the second week, how does Tuesday the 11th sound? Really ends up being mid July but *shrugs* what can you do?
Everyone who commutes anywhere UNM should try and come, those that went have pretty flexible schedules so we could change the meet time to accommodate others. Last time it was at 5:30 at UNM, and then we went to Kelley's for pints and sandwiches. Chime in if you want to come, and have a time preference.
Hope to see you there! Ben

Here! Thanks for keeping tabs on this topic, Ben. Tuesday the 11th works for me. Then again, I'm one of the easiest people to schedule with. Hopefully, I won't be working 6-midnight that night. But unfortunately we'll have to wait until we get closer to that date for me to be positive I'm not. Keep pedaling through these record high temps!

Word to your mother. I work an odd shift so I doubt I'll be able to partake in any festivities. Besides, I tend to be a little gassy in large groups.

The 11th sounds good to me. On a related note, does anyone know a good way to cross I-25 near Osuna/San Mateo?

where are you headed from/too? i'm seeing a way accross sort of via the north diversion channel...let me see if I can get this screen shot up....
well, I can't get this file to upload from work...lets do this...click this link Albuquerque Bike Map (http://www.cabq.gov/bike/pdfs/CABQ Bike Map.pdf) and zoom in on the area in question. If you look at the N. Diversion Channel path, just south of Osuna, there is a "bear arroyo" path that heads east, and then an orange path that heads south off of that and cross under? I-25, then your rigith to san mateo almost entirely on path and interconnecting streets. and then there is orange path up to osuna on the other side of I-25 now...

I agree, this seems to be a good route.

I think the 11th should work for me as well.

I'm headed from Osuna/Eubank to Jefferson and the Bear Arroyo trail. If the Bear Arroyo trail crossed under I-25 I would just take that. I'll try the North Diversion Channel trail today and see how it goes. Thanks!
