I'm a Rocky-mountain boy who's been residing in Denmark the last 7 years.
-Bicycle Mecca I tell you!
My 21 km daily commute to work takes place on what can only be described as a bicycle highway. Complete with tunnels and bridges, this engineering wonder keeps me and my fellow commuters safely seperated from those irritating 4-wheeled, oil-propelled heaps which I am so happy to avoid...
I've been reading the forum the last few weeks and finally decided to take the plunge.
The "How was the commute today?" thread is an excellent idea and my next post.

Man, I would love to ride in Denmark. I have friends who just got back from a visit and they said bicycles are truly respected there! I visited years ago and have many fond memories. What are you doing over there?

Hmm, what am I doing? Just loving it really. Engineering pays the rent (thus making it possible to stay) but the laid back culure (and gas prices hovering around $7.30 a gallon -hence the fantastic bike culture) is probably what keeps me here. Still surprised over all of the castles and ruins though.
Stateside I've never been East of the Mississippi. How's Virginia?

Virginia is great. Rolling hills, the blue ridge mountains. And all the heat and humidity you could ever want. But i like it.
