I always bathe with warm water and sleep in air-conditioned room. The weather here can like go down to 25C and up to 35C or more.
Is bathing with warm water going to speed my recovery and how long after my exercise should I bathe? Secondly, is sleeping in cold environment going to be bad for my body or something?

I've heard that warm water can help the muscles get more blood and speed recovery, also a massage of the muscles can help too with soreness. (the guys in the tour de france get this done daily) although I'm not sure if sleeping in a cold room will be detrimental to your body...

I just read from Runners World: "To avoid post-exercise muscle soreness, stay out of the Jacuzzi and away from heat for 48 hours after a hard run or race. Use an ice pack or cool whirlpool instead to reduce swelling and pain."
Does the heat includes warm water as well? Someone please clear this up.

after a very hard ride, I will go get a quick cold shower, when I say quick it is reallly quick, Like 3 minutes, then a dry up relax about 30 minutes, let the open pores on my skin closes because I have come out of the warm temp, then after I have rested and my heart rate has gone down , then I take my regular bath.

when I was about 16 years old, my other sports was Judo, and after practice, our our Sensei or Judo instructors always see to it that we don't sit down, I remember one of the kid who play judo, laid down after a very vigorous practice he laid down on the mat, he suffered a heart attack, and I also know that professional boxers after their boxing, they are not allowed to lie down or sleep after a boxing match, because they will suffer the same fate

hmm sounds like something associated with high blood pressure due to higher heart rate?
