Is there something that I can do to enable the search feature for these forums?
When I select search, a dialog box comes up indicating that searching has been disabled.

The search function has been causing the site to crash lately, so I have disabled search for all users. I'll bring search back once i can get it to behave correctly.

Try using google. In the search, type in bikeforums.net, couple of spaces, and then what it is your looking for.

An exact method would be "search query" site:bikeforums.net minus the quotes making sure to keep a space between your query and site.

example:

brooks site:bikeforums.net (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=brooks+site:bikeforums.net&btnG=Google+Search)

I hope that pesky seach straightens itself out soon. It is much more difficult to puruse the forum without it. :D

Forums without search, esp. "view new posts", are pretty worthless. That's kind of how I'm feeling about BF lately. Sorry for not being more diplomatic, I like this site. But it sucks right now.
