Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - a family cycling forum

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Yo, Joe.
I am w/o family but I can see there's a place for a family oriented forum on this BB.
One possible reason you that haven't seen much response is that most folks probably go straight to the General Discussion portion of the BB, leaving this section much neglected.
BTW, I'm still hoping you'll fire up a forum for Triathlons, too :)

I'd go along with that... I have a wife, but no kids yet... I'm always trying to get my wife to go on rides with me.. maybe having a family oriented forum would be a good thing... I know there are a lot of guys, and girls with families on here... I'm up for it :-)

i'm just looking for a site where there is real milage goals for people. there are some 'family' cyclists who come here for the first time and see posts like 'did 1000 miles by march 31st.' and feel intimidated.
-teaching a young one to ride
-getting a young one to ride instead of video games
-roof racks for families
-fitness goals when balancing a family
-looking for a bike (<600 since you'd have to multiply x 4 for my family)
-how can i get the time to ride with my new baby or new wife
-family bike vacations
-etc
