My wife bought me a pair of Conti Top Touring 2000's There are no arrows on the sidewalls to indicate which direction to mount them. Should I mount them with the "V" pattern pointing toward the front or back?

 Sorry to have asked a question that has such an obvious answer. I TURNED the tire around and the other sidewall had arrows for front & back. Sheesh.

Mine don't, on either side. What was the answer?

What was the answer?
Arrowed tread going in direction of rotation in front, opposite of rotation in rear...

This only makes a difference for mountain bikes riding in deep mud. On any normal bike the tread is for decorative purposes only.

It doesn't matter which direction the tread goes. Tread is bad for road bikes anyways.
