Classic & Vintage - Gios Tornio Professional

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I picked up a Gios Torino Professional (White) with a mix of parts for $100. The white paint is chipped in a number of places. It looks exactly like this frame http://www.thebikestand.com/giosvintage.html just beat up. The bike stand is asking $2500 for above mint version!!!! What is this thing worth? Is it worth sending the frame out for repainting to resell it?
Mix of parts . . .
DuraAce Stem
Shimano 600 hubs with Mavic Reflex SUP XB?
Campy headset, BB, cranks I'm assuming they are original.
8 speed rear with Shimano 105 STI adapter.
2 ring front with downtube shifter.
Cheers!

I wouldn't plan on retiring on it. A decent repaint with decals is going to run around $300. You can sell the non-Campy parts as frankly they will do nothing to enhance the value of the bike. Nothing wrong with them, but you have apples and oranges here. A full SR Campy bike vs a mishmash of parts. With luck, you might make a couple of bills.

$2500 seems high even for the minty one, but I'm no expert
