Bicycle Mechanics - water noise?

Ok I washed my bike the other day and lately I've been hearing like a water drizzling type sound, when I flip the bike upside down and right side up. At first I thought maybe water got inside the frame somehow so I didn't think much of it, but just today now I noticed it even more and it almost sounds like its coming from the front forks (monster triple). Could this be oil? The shock seems completely fine, and I haven't noticed any excess oil coming out of the fork anywhere. Any ideas?

im having the same problem after washing my bike. apparently, it was the sound from cassette. when i pedal hard, something cracking inside it. it must be sand inside the cassette i think. But after a few ride, the sound gone away :/

as for your fork, did you spray it with high-pressure water?

monster T's are huge forks, and thus have alot of oil in 'em. if they see regular use its possible the oil is a bit contaminated and starting to lose its viscosity. do the forks feel overly bouncy ? or do they bottom out easily ? these are signs that they are due for a service, at the very least a clean and oil change.

I have washed the bike with a high-pressure wand before but I make sure to keep it rather far from the bike, never close up. I haven't ridden it in a couple weeks and I tested it out today and it does seem a little more squishy than usual. Yeah I'm going to take it in to get serviced very soon. Don't use high pressure water on your bike. Even from a distance it can force water through the seals on your bearings. Just use a bucket and sponge to clean your bike. If you must use a hose, just let it flow gently.
