I have a nine or ten year old Giant Rincon that I recently bought just so my friends who don't have a bike can ride with me. I bought it second hand, and the rims are just basic "Femco?" brand. They are nice and straight, in good condition, true and seem pretty sturdy since the previous owner said he son was tough on the bike. Don't know if these are the stock rims, but I know he's changed a few things on this bike.
One of my girlfriends wants to start riding, and asked if she can use it to see if she'd like it before she invests in a bike. Then she asked me something I didn't even think of:
"Will the bike hold my weight?"
She's 280 lbs.
