So, this (http://www.engadget.com/2006/06/09/gps-datalogger-captures-speed-coordinates-to-sd/) sounds like it could work well for training info as long as it's moderately accurate. What do you think?

I think that for less than $140 you can find a Garmin Foretrex 201 online.

You can get a basic GPS for 99 bucks. The Geko series has a 99 dollar version and is very compact.

Really? I had no idea. Altough I've never had a great desire to own one, I do think it's a good idea and that it could be used very effectively for training (not to mention other things). Thanks for the input, guys.

I just picked up the Garmin Edge on ebay for $250 with the heart rate monitor. It gives you tons of info about your ride.

I picked up the Garmin Edge 205 at GPSExplorer.com for $179.99 w/Free ship and no tax. It's a pretty cheap price for that unit. Works great, although some people prefer the full package with the 305.
