Hey, does anyone know of a fork that is rigid, and has a 20 mm through axle? I'm thinking of getting one for my trials bike, because I hate standard Qr hubs.

I just found that Funn makes a rigid fork like that, but it's longer, made for bikes that are optimized at 4-5 inches of travel.

No, I havent bought it yet. But it's definately the fork I'll be putting on my trials rig. 20 mm through axle forks kick ass!

If you just hate QR hubs, get a regular old bolt-on - that way, you can buy a proper trials fork from a still-in-business company.

Jason, as you are very aware my new fork has a 20mm axle and I hear great things about them.
for my own curiosity, what's the noticeable differences between that and a QR?
Besides it's alot harder for would be thieves to take off :P
I mean what pansy theif brings two sets of metric A-wrenches with em.

do you mean between 20mm axle and a quick release?? i would say reduction of torsional strain on the fork lowers....right?? you are making a more unified structure when a 20mm axle is used in conjunction with the obvious crown of the fork. there will always be deflections of the wheel from the spoke, etc aspect i suspect...but if you're talking just for the potential of twisting fork legs, well the clamping surface on the 20mm should be more "solid"

how stiff do u want ur trials rig?? that'll be hell on your wrists.
i hated my old QR cuz they deflected alot when i pivotted and stuff. then i upgraded...there are some really nice QR out there that a hella stiff. how much does your current fork/wheel setup deflect now? a nice set of QR on a stiff trials specific fork would barely move--if you can even notice it.

I personally hate Qr hubs. I've had like half a dozen axle's break that were Qr. It's a huge pain in the arse. On the other hand, 20 mm through axle's are super stiff, super smooth, and hella strong. I'd go with a bolt on axle before I went for a QR again.
