This is a natural offshoot to the "Worst bike repairs seen" thread.
1.) Where do you keep a spare spoke? ... Drop it down inside your seat tube, of course!
2.) "Yes, I found that rattle inside your bottom bracket shell. No, it won't cost anything to fix. It was just those 22 "SPARE" ball bearings someone thoughtfully left rolling around down there."
3.) Need a new seatpost? Are you sure? Why not just take that 27.2 post, grind and file the bottom 4 inches down to maybe 25 mm, and then just let it knock around like a pendulum inside your 26.4mm seat tube as you pedal.
4.) "That rattling sound in your head tube? Right, it was simply those two small angry plastic soldiers that you've been keeping captive. I caught them slugging it out just above your brake bolt."
