Any experience with these? I see them on ebay ( here (http://cgi.ebay.com/RIMS-700C-X13MM-VUELTA-DOUBLE-WALL-32H-AERO_W0QQitemZ7211930445QQcategoryZ36144QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem) ) for super cheap and they look like a low cost alternative to the standard deep v. I was thinking of getting a pair and spraypainting them purple! so, anyone know if they suck? There was a thread on them way back, but new info would be happycool.

Vuelta's, I think, are a pretty good name brand. But 13mm wide? Most road wheels are in the 19mm width range I think. I'll have to google around and see.

That brings up another question. What is a good rim width for 23mm wide tires, or other width tires? I know car wheels should be about 1.5inches narrower than the tire for a good clinch but what's the rule of thumb for bike tires?

Thumb seems to not be posting as much lately for some reason.

edit: I think he errs on the wide side. I'm running a 28mm tire on a 23mm rim and i figure I could go to a 25mm tire without any problems. I even ran a 23mm tire on the 23mm rim for a week or so, but i felt like that was pushing it.

Looks good. Why not try em and give us all a review. If they suck you're only out a bit of money, but I would doubt that they have to be that bad because of the stolen design, meant for strength ;)

Awesome. How bomb proof are they? Ever try, or accidentally smack into pot holes and see results after?

a few of those + a few curbs here and there and so far they are still good.

They are not ultra high quality, but they are superior for the price !
