Does it matter what kind of chain I have on my fixie? I have an old index chain and was wondering if i can just use that? If its not a good idea, what should i be looking for, bmx?

The wheels that I have coming inthe mail are spaced at 120mm however my frame is 126mm. Can I still use the wheels as is or should I add spacers?

What is the best location for the chainring? inner or outer mounting?

thanks!

only thing you need to worry about is 1/8" vs 3/32. Just dont use 9 or 10speed chain, not that you would.

i'm going to assume the bike is a conversion. You can reuse the old chain if you shorten it (you got a 3/32 cog, right?). If you have a steel frame, bending the rear triangle to make it fit won't be a problem. If its an aluminum frame, get the spacers or chaintugs. Typically, the inner position on a road double, or the middle position on a road triple will give you the best chainline. You may still need to get a new bottom bracket to get the chainline perfect. If you bought track cranks, they are made to use the outer postion.
