Hi Folks,

I just want to express how fortunate I feel to having discovered the joys of a folding bike. I purchased a DownTude III - SX full supension in Feb. after not having rode a bike since I was a kid (I'm 53 now). I keep it in the trunk of my Chevorelet Cavalier. At work at lunch time I change into my gym clothes, take the bike out of the trunk, get on and I'm on an adventure. Or I'll drive to a nearby bike trail and I'm off. I've discovered some fabulous parks and bike trails places I didn't know existed before I started riding. I've been very pleased with the DownTube...it is very well built, comfortable to ride, easy to fold, easy to shift gears and just plain fun. The idea of always having the bike with me in my car opens up so many new possibilities. I would highly encourage any one to buy a folding bike and enjoy discovering new places.
Regards, Don Wile

There is no better way to explore than on a bicycle and having the added bonus of portability opens up more oportunity for exploration

Donald,

Let me jump in and sing some praises of my own. I've been with my daughter in the hospital for more days than I can remember. My Dahon is the best anti-depressant that I could ever find; it really keeps me sane.

You said it Don!

I especially like folders for their easy "trainability". That is, taking them on the commuter train. It really adds flexibility to your bike use.

I suggest you learn to overhaul the hubs (amoung other routine maintenace tasks) of your baby, or drop some $ and get phil wood hubs. She will start disappointing you soon if you don't.
