Which is directly related to the ending time actually. What is the best time of day, do you think, that an eBay item would end that would attain maximum views/bids on eBay?

I guess its directly related to when eBay gets its most traffic, which i would assume would be at night? (Problaby 7 pm - 9.30pm). Would a smart time to end an item at say 10pm, so it would be visible during peak time, but would allow potential bidders to have some time to think and research if nessesary before it ends?

Or do you think the outcome of an auction isn't really dependent on end time?

Thanks :)

7 pm PST

Ebay assumed is a "United States" Site. People on the east coast would see the auction end about 10 pm, west coast about 7 pm. Many people white collar" expecially will work until 5 pm so 6 pm is a bit early, and later than 10 pm is too late. Many people have snipping programs now so it really does not matter as much anymore.

I remember running home to snip an auction and making it 30 seconds before the end once. It really just depends on the audiance... ]

Younger people tend to be up all the time, so it really does not matter, just do not have it during "school" hours.

Middle age (25+) tend to have jobs that make them get up early and that meens 11pm end times, for example are geerally out of the question

Etc...

I still go for 7 pm PST, 10 PM EST

Just make sure it runs over a weekend. Many workplaces block eBay, the bastards

Well i would be only listing at this stage for Australia. I would be selling bike parts, target audience problaby 16 - 35 i guess, so the majority would be working.

That said, what time of WEEK do you think would be the best time to get an eBay item ending?

I would think Sunday evening could be prime time?

It dosen't matter. Ebay is open 24/7. In my seven years of selling there I can say without a doubt that no one has conclusively proved to me that any one time is better than the other. It's not so much what time you sell something, but rather what you are selling.

Yep. About the only thing you really want is it's nice to have it run over the weekend.
