What is the difference between a fluid and a mag trainer? Which do you recommend?

Hi,
you have some good choices to pick from. Mostly you get what you pay for. But...
different models appeal to different sorts of riders. I have a Kurt Kinetics, rugged, good imitation of road resistance. Take a look at the reviews on their website. Lots of others, I like the one that crosses a trainer with a video game. You can race against computer generated racers at the level you you want. If the darn thing didn't cost so much I'd get one. You will want to use old tires with it; most eat good tires quickly. Also take a look at Spinervals videos. Most of the time I start an old scifi and pedal while I watch. It isn't exciting so you will need something to occupy your mind.
