Hello bike people. I bought a nice old Moto on eBay for 60.00. It rides pretty well, but being an auto mechanic by trade, I couldnt resist taking it apart, and greasing bearings, tightening stuff, adjusting this and that etc etc...
As I was greasing the front hub, I found that the cones that the bearings roll around are pitted causing the wheel to roll rough. It is my understanding that parts for these old Frenchies are hard to come by, and I am curious as to whether these cones are available at all? Are they a "universal" kind of thing that I can get on eBay? If not, what size does a Moto take? The hubs have ATOM stamped on them, and the bike frame is a 1975, I think. Oh yes, does this bike require a special chain, or are all ten speed chains the same size? Thanks for your help.
