I have the opportunity to buy a BikeE CT in good shape for $300. Any thoughts on this bike? Is it a good first recumbent? I briefly had a Linear that I'd built out of junk parts, but otherwise have never owned a recumbent bike before.

If I had such an offer and
didn't have a bent, I'd buy it.
See this URL for details
on the bike: http://www.bicycleman.com/recumbents/bike_e/bike_e_ct.htm
I would rather have my EZ-1 but
the CT is a great value at $300.
Have fun with it!

YES! IMHO BikeE's are GREAT recumbents, first or otherwise! The seat adjustment is wonderfully easy, so anyone can ride it! In spite of all the fancy 'bents in my stables, both 2 and 3 wheeled, I'll always have my trusty BikeE! Mine is the XLong frame and has a second seat with footpegs to haul the younguns around. My oldest son (8 at the time) rode 52 miles on the Tour de Fort Ord on it!
BikeE? Can't go wrong with one of those!
