My heart tells me to use blue Loc-tite. Should I listen to my heart?
Why.???I never have.Many ,Many cranksets,no problems.

It wouldn't hurt to use blue, (242 I think), loctite though. I lost a chainring bolt in Colorado last summer. When I replaced it, I noticed another one loose. I put 242 on them all. Can't hurt anything.
Dry works for me.That's the way they come from Mr. Shimano.
Use grease. Been doing that for years with no problems. Lube is your friend.
