Fifty Plus (50+) - 1000 Miles & Observations

It was June 8 of last year that I joined BF.
This morning I passed 1,000 miles in riding this year. The actual is 1,001.21. Last year, my first complete year of riding, it was Sept. before I passed this mark. This year in Sept. I should pass 2,000

My morning exercise ride was 5.99 miles which I rode at an average of 15mph.
My current morning exercise ride is 15.82 miles which I ride on an average between 16.6 and 17.5mph.

Last year for the entire month of June I rode 118 miles.
This year June to date I have ridden a little over 130 miles.

I am in much better shape than last year, feeling good and continuing to develop. My lungs ar no longer in pain when I finish my ride and my heart rate is not going sky high as I finish.
I really enjoy riding and have begun to take many more Sat. exploration rides of 40 - 50 miles when my schedule allows.
All of you at BF have helped me in this, even DG, (he makes me laugh at myself). I don't post as much these days as the site has been slow for awhile and I just haven't had the time. I do read everyones posts and enjoy the comments of many. I feel as though I have made alot of new friends who have helped me along my way. Thanks!!

DG - I have to plan that out a little. I hope it may in late this month, if not then early July. It pretty much must be a weekend and I have to dodge around alot of weekend commitments.

Great going Dan!! I've enjoyed reading and hearing of your progress. I'm sure that new bike has helped to make the rides even more enjoyable as well.

I'm pretty sure you're ahead of my pace when I started riding. Keep up the terrific work!!
