Mountain Biking - I think I should be in the emergency room...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Why, what happened?
I think I should be pretty much anywhere besides at work in front of my computer.....oh well. :(
I turfed it pretty hard on my morning ride. I probably would have gone home, but work was closer and they provide free pain killers. I came of a jump on an otherwise smooth (or so I thought) section of the trail. I was going really fast and only had 15 ft or so to avoid a big hump on the left side of the trail. I made it over the hump ok by trying to absorb it, but the small ditch on the other side ate my bike. I went over the bars, landed on my back and my bike came tumbling after. My lower back hurts really bad when I walk, but oddly enough riding the rest of the way down wasn't too bad. Sitting or standing is fine, its just walking that hurts. If I'm not feeling better by 1:00 or so I think I'll go see a doctor. This sucks because I probably won't be able to ride to work tomorrow, I really look forward to that.
By the way, I'm pretty sure a suspension fork would have saved my ass, I can't wait until I'm done building up my Jamis.

Haha, not THAT kind of pain killers but still, a nice benefit when I've been coding for 12+ hours straight.
