:D Ok guys, I just purchased a new 10 speed Ultegra equipped bike (double) yesterday. The LBS set it up and adjusted everything. Here is my question:
When I am on the largest chainring on the front, and the 3rd gear on the rear (3rd up from the smallest gear), the chain just begins to rub on the front derailleur. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I shouldn't be getting any rubbing with this combination, right?
Is this just an issue of turning one of the adjusting screws to move the deraillleur a little more outboard? (towards the right side pedal)? I believe this is setup incorrectly from the LBS, because the Shimano pamphlet says that there should be 0-.5mm of clearance between the inner frame of the FD and then chain when the smallest front chainring is in use. Mine has about 3 mm, which I believe is probably why my FD is rubbing.
Hopefully this makes sense :D Just looking for a little reassurance before I start turning screws.
