Hey everyone. This is my first post so please bear with me.
I ride a 10 yr old Bontrager Racelite hardtail with Judy XC fork (also 10yrs). Fork is stock. Never had any issues with it until last winter when I went up to Colorado for a few months, and the fork compressed and stayed like that. No rebound or compression, nada, just stuck at the bottom. Adjusters (+/-) stuck as well. Thought maybe it was from the altitude and cold.
Can someone explain how to service and set it up correctly (oil type, air pressure, parts available/interchangeable, etc). I think the crown had to be swapped from the original Judy to a Bontrager(black) one to fit the stem. A guy at a shop today told me its a 1" threaded (I think) and that parts are long gone, and that I should try adding some air.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
