Advocacy & Safety - Almost got right hooked in turn lane.

Fortunately I wasn't moving quite as fast through here as I normally am since I had riding partners. The incident is the second portion of the clip (http://www.4wahls.net/ridewithmark.htm). For those interested, clip was taken with the ATC-1000 camera mounted on the handlebars.

from what I could see the jeep was well ahead of you and nowhere near hitting you. What's your beef?

It's a minor beef really, but the speed limit there is 25. We were at about 21, and the Jeep crossed the solid. Big hurry to get by the cyclists, and the driver badly misjudged the speed we were traveling. Not a big deal really, but gave me an excuse to share the video. I've certainly been cut closer, although that spot never gives me trouble. We take the turn faster than most drivers can, and until today everyone has waited until we were through the turn.

Absolutely. Its pretty much the norm to get ahead of slower vehicles. This example barely registers as aggressive.

He didnt clip you at all, not even close, and the little audio overfill you put on there nearly blew my eardrums as it was much much lounder than the rest of the track.

If the line was dotted still he was totally in the clear, if it was solid then if you must have some "beef" have beef that he made an illegal lane change but not that he almost right hooked you, I had sombody almost right hook me the other day, where if I wouldnt have grabed a hand full of brake I would have hit there side door with my front wheel.
